Blogging Whereabouts . . .

It’s been a few weeks since my last post because I needed a short break from the blog after the season’s end of Game of Thrones. Fortunately, I spent what little time I had working on other things.

Sequel to Enoch's Device
It looks a bit more dogeared now, but I’m nearing the end of my edit to the sequel to Enoch’s Device. It’s taken far longer than I had hoped, but I’ve trimmed it down by 32 pages (and counting), scrapped a few chapters, and written a few new ones. I’m working in the final act now, so the editing has slowed a bit to get it right.

After this, I’ll do a quick polish edit and draft my historical note. Then it’s off to the Beta readers. My actual editor will be next, and after whatever edits result from that, the novel should be ready to roll. When that will be, I can’t quite predict, though I’m hoping for early next year. But enough of that.

Outlander

In case you missed it, Season 3 of Outlander premiered two Sunday’s ago on Starz. For anyone missing Game of Thrones, I’ve found that Outlander helps ease the pain. I hope to be back with actual content on the blog soon, so check back next week or follow my Facebook page, where I’ve started posting additional content that wouldn’t work for a full blog post.

Thanks for your patience. I’ll be back soon!

    OUTLANDER:

He fainted, Joseph! CLAIRE took JAIME by surprise, & his
    reaction rings TRUE. 🙂

I regret to say that I missed OUTLANDER summer school,
but finally managed to FIND the show, again. Turns out
that OUTLANDER moved from SHOWTIME channel to
the W NETWORK, at least here in NOVA SCOTIA.

I must admit that I could not get enough of CLAIRE'S
1950's & 1960's hair, make up and wardrobe. And, it's
just a favourite time period for me, VISUALLY.

The unsung heroes of the show are the ones who made
some of the props, like the archival material which finally
revealed to the researcher where & when JAIME could
be found… Also, who ever thought to use the old
BATMAN TV theme music should get a raise!!!!!!!! It
certainly lightened up a very DRAMATIC series.

Dan, thanks for the comment! I missed the Batman music (but I also am an episode behind). Which scene did it happen in? I agree the writing has been great in Season 3 (though they also get to work with great source material).

    Joseph:)

Are you caught up on your OUTLANDER homework? 🙂

Claire's PHOTOS of her daughter: I'm afraid that these
could her in trouble, in the 18th century!

    WITCH !!!!!!

On a more serious OUTLANDER note, we see at the end of
the last episode a great TRUTH:

That if you keep unsavoury company & take chances on
the DARK side, there can be unintended consequences
for those that you CARE about…

Dan, thanks for the comments! I've been travelling so much the last three weeks that I'm three episodes behind on Outlander. I hate that. As soon as I catch up, I look forward to responding with some actual substance. But I sense from your comments, the season is getting good!
