No, that’s not me sitting in the chair. In fact, I am alive and well, though I have taken an overly long hiatus from the blog. But it’s all for a good reason.
After spending nearly ten weeks writing about Westworld, I had always planned on taking a few weeks off. But then midway into July, something happened: The edits arrived from my editor for the upcoming sequel to Enoch’s Device. For those who have yet to sign up for my Reader List (you can sign up here), I revealed the new book’s title back in May—The Key to the Abyss.
In any event, I’ve been working my way through the edits, which has been going well. But I plan to hold off on any future blog posts until I get the job done. There is only so much time available to write, and I’d rather finish the novel I’ve been working on, instead of using that time to review the latest book I’ve finished reading or write an update on Game of Thrones. There will plenty of opportunity to do that next year, by the way, unless The Winds of Winter makes a surprise appearance sometime soon!
I promise to have more on the sequel, including a cover reveal, a description of the new story, and a release date (sometime this fall, I hope). In the meantime, I appreciate your patience, and wish me luck!
